End of season: enjoy the final days or see you in November!

Season ends on 4th May 2025 – Reopening on 22nd November 2025

The Val Thorens resort is about to close its ski area for the 2024/2025 season on Sunday, May 4. That still gives you the opportunity to come and enjoy one last day of skiing before packing away your ski clothes. Head over to Sport 2000 Eskiador for your equipment rental and to take advantage of our end-of-season sales!

Ski area closure and festive weekend for “La Grande Dernière”

As every season, the Val Thorens-Orelle ski area will stop welcoming skiers and snowboarders at the beginning of May. This year, the closing date is set for on Sunday 4th May, with a not-to-be-missed event over the final weekend: La Grande Dernière.

On 3rd and 4th May, a wide range of activities are planned to give the season a proper send-off: ski tests, a Waterslide, a big ski race starting from the top of Péclet ski lift, a DJ set, games with prizes to win, and more.

The end of the season promises to be festive, but also sporty, especially since fresh snow recently fell (20 cm on April 23), offering ideal conditions for skiing.

To take part in La Grande Dernière, or if you’re planning to ski in Val Thorens this weekend or sometime next week, don’t forget to book your ski gear: online rental with Eskiador remains available until Sunday 4th May.

Of course, you can also rent your skis or snowboard directly in-store, or take advantage of our end-of-season sales to equip yourself with your own gear (30% off skis and boots, 20% off accessories).

To our clients and partners: a heartfelt thank you for this 2024/2025 season

Getting ready for the 2025/2026 season: see you in November

The Eskiador team will take a short break, then quickly get back to work to prepare the best for the upcoming season. Ski tests, restocking the shop with the latest gear, renewing the rental fleet: the store will be ready for reopening on 22nd November 2025, in line with the resort’s opening (weather permitting). We’ll see you in a few months to hit the slopes again in the vast 3 Vallées ski area!
